Snowy River & Cascade
   Rail Park

Snowy River & Cascade Rail Park by Buck Meikle and Dick Kennedy

Construction began in early 2012. The layout is HO gauge for the most part (there is a stretch of HOn3 narrow gauge) occupying a 12' by 18' area with 30" perimeter/central yard benchwork..
The layout is not based on a prototype, it is simply a way to house and operate a collection of western railroad equipment as a Railroad Museum located in the fictitious towns of Snowy River and Cascade. The area modeled is roughly a mid-century jumble of northern and southern California. The track-work is completely wired for "DCC" operation with one of the two mainlines switchable to "DC" to operate older equipment not yet upgraded.
